Rest in Peace Lappy I met you just as I left high school and just before I flew the nest. We worked together, played together, and sometimes just hung out. You’ve seen me in some pretty compromising positions and let them pass without judgment, just as I forgave you when you didn’t perform to the best of your abilities. We didn’t give up on each other. You lived through endless abuse, leaving you crippled with busted hinges, a decaying plastic frame around your face, and now I’m afraid I’ve hurt you in a way that will make you leave without ever coming back. You have a huge black mark taking over your face, as well as other accompanying markings. There isn’t enough cellotape and free stickers in the world to patch that up again. Thank you for the dedicated years of proud service. I appreciated you and took you everywhere with me. I still would if there were anything I could do to help you, but we both knew this was coming. It was in the warranty. In time, you’ll be replaced with a laptop of equal value (but in the urban market), as well as a dekstop computer, which I couldn’t have built without your help. In a way, it’s sort of like our child with parts put in by me, and with a Windows 10 serial code that you provided. I hope more of your parts get recycled and get rebuilt into some sort of government super computer.
